ABCs of the Internet.

A - Always ON! The Internet never closes for maintenance or upgrading

B - Beware of SCAMS - probably as prominent as the helpful information online

C - Cool Graphics! Woo Hoo!

D - Domains - there are a LOT OF Domains on the Net. Anyone can have one!

E - Entertainment - Net updates are probably faster than with any other media

F - FUN - Despite the obvious UTILITY of the net, everyone also looks for FUN online

G - Games - UVme claims that Gaming is growing 4x faster than internet use itself

H - Hackers - not always bad guys - simply people who find out exactly what programs and systems can and cannot do

I - Internet Marketing - EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK you'll see Internet Marketing - hey, it is what makes the Net go round! It makes these Hub Pages possible too

J - Jeepers, I'm already almost half-way out of alphabet and haven't explained much

K - K - I will get more serious now

L - LOL Laughing Out Loud - one of the most notorious expressions on the Net

M - Mothers - wish their kids would play outside more, however, mothers overlook the importance of eye-hand co-ordination that playing Internet games offers to kids!

N - Never - EVER point your computer online without using Antivirus and Anti Malware software!

O - "OMG!!!" (Oh My Gawd) - This is what the last person said the first time they ran their computer onto the WWW without antivirus and antimalware running. And then the person said MUCH MORE, which cannot be related here because it's just too shocking - and this is a non-adult post

P - Prevention - of ID Theft is a serious matter that everyone should pay attention to. Never tell anyone else your password - and CHANGE every password possible that a site gives you through 'automation,' if this is possible. NEVER tell anyone your 'password' system, either - such as 'using versions of a favorite movie star's name' in your passwords or other such 'personal quirks.' All you need is for someone to find out that you've been secretly in love with Donny Osmond for 2 decades and then people will break your "il0v3d0nny" cleverness in an instant!!

Q - Quirks - mentioned above. These are GOOD GOOD GOOD things for making passwords - just don't tell anyone about 'em. Nobody needs to know your SECRET quirks. Besides, these might scare people and mess up your MySpace friend list if your quirks were to really get out.

R - Rip Off Artists. If someone tells you 'its too good to be true' then it probably is too good to be true. There are a ton of GOOD deals online, however, real money making and real good and affordable deals will still require SOME EFFORT, so don't get Ripped Off - Do the work, learn the necessary skills and prosper, my Vulcan friends!

S - Space - on your hard-drive. Keep an eye on your downloads - whoa - you can really kill the space on your hard drive by downloading cool stuff from the net, eh? Particularly bad for me are MP3's...geeze - why do I need to download songs that I already have the tapes and CD's for - when I keep forgetting to load the files onto my player? lol

T - Television. No longer necessary. I can watch almost anything I want to online. Hey how 'bout that HEROES series from NBC TV, huh? American viewers can watch every episode directly from NBC for FREE. I'm Canadian, but I found a place where even muklukked, parka-headed, sittin' with the sled-dogs in the igloo Canucks can watch HEROES! Can ya tell I like the show?

U - UVme is ON TO SOMETHING!

V - Videos are pretty funny over at You Tube

W - Wikipedia is NOT the very best place to get information online. Check for citations people!! A lot of what is on Wikipedia is very much like what is on this very HubPage you're reading right now - it's OPINION!

X - X-rated sites are OFF LIMITS to kids! There are FAR TOO MANY XXX sites AVAILABLE to kids. Parents - keep an eye on your computer! Kids are smart - they can GET IN to sites you'd never believe existed. Why? Because kids are naturally CURIOUS!

Y - Yahoo - need I say more?
